On the way to the volcano

Before starting the long and tiring volcano’s ascension, a small stop at the Blue Lagoon was a perfect relaxing experience.

When I’m arrived on site, it was aldready 4pm, I was late and I was worried to not be able to observe the volcano. Weather conditions were very bag, small rain, frog and wind, the worst for the visibility. I decided to walk a little, I met a woman and I asked her “is it worth it?”. she had a flame in the eyes and she answered “walk, walk, walk and never give up, an incredible spectacle is at the end of the way”. It was just that’s all i wanted to hear.

After nearly two hours of walk, I heard, I smelt and I saw the first clue of the presence of the active volcano.
